Jessica was born in Cornwall, Ontario, although she considers Embrun her home town as that is where she spent most of her growing up years. She has one older brother, Jesse, and two step-sisters, Kimberley and Jessica, from her mom’s marriage to Dave when she was 17. From an early age, Jessica has had an interest in horses and fine arts. She excelled in school and decided to pursue post-secondary education at the University of Ottawa. In 2006 she graduated with a Baccalaureate with Honours in Commerce, specializing in Finance. Soon afterwards, she began pursuing her Certified Management Accountant designation which will be received in June 2010.
Paul was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and moved to Ottawa with his older brother, Philippe, at the age of 2. Paul has always been interested in computers and technology, and in 2001, Paul graduated from Carleton University with a degree in Systems Engineering. He has been with Agriculture and AgriFood Canada for the last three years in web services and IT. He enjoys travel and anticipates his next trip overseas to France and perhaps Italy.
Paul and Jessica met in the summer of 2004, and bonded over their common interests of entrepreneurship, finance and computers. They enjoy movies and children. They are the proud parents of Isaac, 5, and William, 8 months, and hope to have a couple more!
